Our vision is a world where internet technologies and the information ecosystem are ethical, equitable and just, for Black women and gender-expansive people.
Our mission is to ensure that ****these technologies do not replicate or further discrimination to our focal population.
<aside> 🌀 We’re a remote, Black-led and Black feminist charity, with staff in the UK and Canada. We’ve always been remote, and we’ll likely always stay that way.

We see internet technologies as an accelerator of existing social justice issues like racism, misogyny, white supremacy, dis/ability and economic injustice. Technologies reconstitute and reconfigure the ways these issues are experienced, enacted and resisted, but it is rarely the originator of these problems. Thus, we think about power and how technology both wields and is in service to power.
We have a wellbeing budget that each team member can avail of towards therapy/counselling, holistic or alternative medicine, or occupational health adjustments.
We offer 5% pension contribution with employer matching.
Our Parental Leave policy offers biological, adoptive, and foster parents statutory parenthood leave to spend quality time with the new member of your family.
We work 30 hours Monday - Thursday is our working week, 4 days full-time.
We want people to take time off to rest and rejuvenate. We offer 20 days annual leave, plus bank holidays.
You’ll receive a laptop and a phone (if necessary for your role) when you join Glitch.
As a remote charity with staff in the UK & Canada, we aim to get together a few times a year for in-person coworking days, and have an annual team retreat.
